Continuous Improvement Team Meeting (for SCC staff reps) Third meeting of the new CIT Meeting for SCC Children's Centre staff. This group of staff representatives is focussing on making continuous improvements to Children's Centre services in Somerset so that they help ensure future Children’s Centre services are aimed at those most in need and support improved value for money. SCC Staff Awareness Session - Mop-up A further session for any SCC-employed Children's Centre staff who were unable to attend one of the sessions held in August. Attendees will be given an update on the proposals for change and the chance to ask questions ahead of public consultation. To book your place, please email Mary Hellier.
4th Sep, Huish Episcopi Academy, Langport (2-5 pm)
Public Consultation Consultaton to take place asking for views on the suggested proposals for restructured Children’s Centre services in Somerset. All Children's Centre staff will be informed about the details and invited to take part. Some staff may also be contacted directly to help support the consultation, for example by displaying a poster or supporting target families to take part.
Staff Drop-in Sessions Informal sessions to be held across the county, to give Children's Centre staff the opportunity to stop by and ask questions about change and the potential future changes to Children's Centre services.

Building Blocks for Quality - Family Support Worker Conference Event for Family Support Workers, aimed at gaining a joint understanding of the role of Family Support Workers in Somerset, and what the Local Authority will expect from this role in the future.
Staff Consultation HR consultation to take place with SCC staff. SCC staff will be given the opportunity to give feedback on a proposed new staffing structure and job roles for Children's Centre services and to express a further interest in voluntary redundancy, if they would like to do so.
